Our CNAs provide compassionate care for our residents throughout their daily lives. From human contact to personal care, they are the key to enhancing the lives and developing lasting memories for the residents. Whether the resident is having an off day physically or just wants to converse with another person, our aides step forward to improve the moment for our residents. At times the work may not be glamorous and can be extremely physically demanding. However, this group of professionals is the first to meet and exceed the needs of the residents. They celebrate with the residents during the high moments and console them when at the low points of their lives. This group of dedicated and hard-working employees has a daily impact on improving the quality of life of our residents.
Teaming with our physicians, the nurses ensure the care is provided at high levels of professionalism and care. Our registered and licensed professional nurses provide necessary assessments for the resident along with medication management and treatments necessary to address physician orders. The nurses are also instrumental in the mental well-being of the resident through non-pharmacological care and pharmacological care with warranted. This team is our main interface with physicians, pharmacists, therapists as well as any specialists that provide services to our residents. They provide the necessary education for our staff on how to best meet the care needs of the residents. The personalized care provided by this component of our team ensures the ability for the resident to be able to meet each day with the best outcome possible.
Improving physical abilities is central to this team’s effort to improve the lives of the residents. From occupational to speech therapies, the residents are evaluated routinely for opportunities to improve in these areas. Need a “tune-up” for dressing or bathing—the occupational therapist is ready to step in to assist in maintaining the ability to be as self-sufficient as possible. Finally, swallowing is a big aspect of speech’s efforts with the resident. Improving and maintaining the ability to eat foods that have been a lifelong staple enables the residents to continue to enjoy this critical aspect of our lives. These are but examples of how this team comes together to improve the physical well-being to maintain the joys of life many of us take for granted.
No matter how dirty or how quickly you need a response, the housekeeping team is ready to bring the shine back. From assisting residents to helping organize their rooms including dressers and closets, to focusing on common areas to enhance infection control for visitors, residents, and staff alike, we can always count on this group of professionals to perform their functions with a positive and helpful attitude. The housekeeping staff are integral to the daily lives of our residents as they keep up engaging in conversations to improve their quality of life. In addition, they have yet to discover a time when they are unable to stop and help a resident whenever approached. This can-do attitude is contagious and sets an example for fellow employees.
Not always approached as a favorite function by many, the laundry staff steps forward with an infectious attitude to ensure residents have clean and serviceable clothing. This hearty group braves the winter cold moving laundry from the main building to the laundry annex as well as the summer heat when the dryers are working overtime. Pride is demonstrated in the condition of clothing that is returned to residents to be neatly placed on hangars and hung in closets to the folded clothing placed in dressers for easy access by residents and CNAs assisting with dressing. Finally, the staff takes great pride in ensuring clothing is labeled so residents are sure to get their favorite garments back after cleaning.
Nothing that is broken can’t be fixed! The maintenance team demonstrates this daily. From resident items to the heating and cooling systems, maintenance ensures all items are working and well-maintained for many more years of service. New resident moving in and wanting to turn their new room into their new home? Maintenance will be there to hang pictures, build furniture, and move items to make the room safe and welcoming. In the winter, this crew ensures the safety of staff with their efforts to remove snow, and during summer months their efforts include making the outside become an impressive first impression for visitors new and old alike.
Every meal makes a difference in our residents’ lives and this dedicated staff works to ensure the difference is positive. From determining special meals to preparing and serving, nothing is approached as mundane. The staff ensures dining experiences in the dining room are welcoming and enjoyed from the food to the camaraderie of both fellow diners and staff. This group also ensures the residents who choose to enjoy their meals in their rooms are provided with a meal at appropriate temperatures and have another opportunity to interface with staff. The teamwork demonstrated is validated at each meal through the smiles and enjoyment of the meal by residents, visitors, and staff alike.
Activities plan and deliver opportunities to make new memories daily. From craft projects to group interactions to outings, residents are central to the development of the program through their interests. Activities staff not only provide interactions in a group setting but also plan and provide one-to-one activities when necessary to meet the resident’s desired programming. This group leads our residents through events not only for the resident’s entertainment but also so our residents have the opportunity to learn more about each other and share the world they have experienced through personal interactions with others. Finally, to maintain close ties with the community, multiple volunteers assist in providing their unique skills to enhance resident lives. The talented group of individuals allows the department to expand programming and increase socialization opportunities.
No organization is successful without a watchful eye on spending and revenues. The business office manages several different accounts for both the facility and the residents. Operating as the bank for residents, they ensure funds are available to meet the residents’ financial expenditures. In addition, this group oversees our payments to vendors and providers as necessary along with monitoring and accounting for payments to the facility. This office is also integral to residents who are eligible for Medicaid, assisting with applications and following up with the families and residents as necessary.
In need of a smile and a warm welcome to your visit? Our hospitality staff are the first to greet you and quick to find the information needed for your visit. From answering questions about the facility to providing directions to your loved one’s room on your first visits, these are the professionals to see. In addition to having a wealth of information about the facility, they also are the focal point for the management of resident funds. From maintaining accountability for the accounts to functioning as the teller to provide the funds, to ordering items online for the resident, this office is the single stop for residents and families in fund management. The smiles are shared with residents daily in interactions a mail and packages are delivered. Finally, the service rarely ends as they also assist families with payments and explanations for billing questions.
Maintaining the empire of paper, medical records is your stop for anything related to the resident’s medical chart. Need a copy of an X-ray? Medical records can be provided quickly and easily, often at the moment’s notice! The office also keeps track of many types of records related to documentation which includes physician visits to keep the facility in compliance with federal regulations. Also, tracking down documentation from external facilities/offices is a specialty you will find here. As our HIPPA expert, training and oversight originate with this office. Finally, the office also provides backup services for our tech concierge services.
Technology has become an integral part of our everyday lives. Our tech concierge team provides residents with personal assistance regarding their technological needs. Whether assisting families who need to set up computers or helping troubleshoot issues with their smartphones, tech concierge services can provide the help they need. Our technicians can help residents utilize their devices, software, and apps that can help them stay connected with family and friends and enjoy the wealth of games and entertainment. Tech concierge services can also provide the opportunity to navigate the digital world, such as how to use a tablet, email, or access streaming services. This team of skilled techs helps residents to feel connected, entertained, and engaged.
Designated as our resident advocates, this department works tirelessly to address resident concerns about care and living conditions in the facility. Also, ensuring rights are protected through education with both residents and staff is a focus of these professionals. Social Services ensures our compliance with Medicare services related to the ending of skilled services and resident rights if they disagree. In addition, the office provides oversight for our facility grievance program, including coordinating responses from the facility and overseeing the completion of the proposed solutions. Finally, the office also oversees our program for oversight of care including the Colorado Medical Orders for Scope of Treatment (MOST) form as well as assisting with wills, POA documentation, or guardianship when necessary.
